This leg clamp assembly is for USA-made TR3 tripods (2017 and later). Pre-2017 wood tripods were imported, this clamp is not compatible with those. Because of the TR3’s Slip-Stop feature, leg clamps don’t need to be excessively-tight. Overtightening can cause thread wear over time.
