Perfect for tripod-mounting compact and narrow roof-prism binoculars like our Sport HD II and Sport ED binoculars. Very strong metal casting, yet slim enough to not interfere with narrow IPD setting on roof-prism binoculars. Rubber insert on bottom prevents adapter from twisting on tripod head. A best buy!

While trying to observe the latest comet, I realize that I needed a tripod adapter for my ED 8X42 binoculars. I saw that there were two options, both with the same price. I emailed the owner and was clued in to this one. I’m glad I asked. This one is thin enough that you can bring both barrels close together. It is sleek and attaches easily to the attachment point on the front/center part. I had to email and ask where to attach it. There is a small threaded cap that is removed by turning to expose the female threads. Everything looks so much sharper when the binoculars are held still!

For this style of adapter this seems like a good unit. It is quite narrow and easily fit on a pair of vortex 10×50 roof prism binoculars. However I am not a fan of this style of adapter because the screw tends to loosen as you manipulate the binoculars. I found I much prefer a quick detach style of adapter which secures a post semi-permanently to the front of the binoculars which then inserts into the adapter. Having said that, if you are looking for a well made thin traditional style binocular adapter this is a good unit.
